Following a serious accident as a schoolboy I spent 3 years in hospital with much free time to doodle with pencil and paper.  Returning to school I won a prize at the Welsh Eisteddfod for a painting of The Laughing Cavalier by Frans Hals. It was noticed by a visiting advertising agency owner who offered me a place at his company when I finished school which I eventually accepted. 

I attended the Liverpool School of Art where I developed my skills in drawing and painting. Then off to London and worked with different marketing agencies.  The peak of my career came when I joined the world-famous Saatchi & Saatchi brothers agency. My work is in acrylic and watercolour.  Subjects are mainly sea and landscapes of Yorkshire.

On retirement, with my wonderful wife Margaret, we settled in Potto in 2005.He can be contacted at
