Saturday 18th November: Illustrated talk about the Life and Work of the late

Middlesbrough artist David Mulholland, by Peter McCarthy and Tom French

St Cuthberts Church Hall, Marton: 1pm – 4pm

Peter McCarthy, assisted by Tom French (a fellow artist), will be giving an illustrated talk about the life and work of the late Middlesbrough artist David Mulholland. Peter will bring some of the books he has written about David Mulholland that will be available to purchase.

Saturday 25th November: Geoff Hewitt – Charcoal and white acrylic figure drawing

demonstration and workshop

Kirkby Church Hall: 11.00am – 12.30pm demonstration

1pm – 4pm workshop

Geoff Hewitt is an experienced painter, illustrator and teacher who has exhibited widely in group shows including RA, RBSA, LG and overseas and in his own one-man exhibitions. He will be demonstrating his figure drawing techniques using charcoal and white acrylic paint. He will then run a charcoal drawing and white acrylics workshop in the afternoon.

All welcome for the demonstration – members free, guests £5

Saturday 9th December: Paul Talbot Greaves, Colour Harmonies and Echoes

full day workshop

Hutton Rudby Village Hall: 10am – 4pm

Paul Talbot-Greaves is an artist, author and tutor who captures moods of the landscape environment. At this workshop he will focus on using colour harmonies and echoes to lead the eye around our paintings. The day will include some colour theory work with a full acrylic demonstration showing how to unify a painting through colour and ending with beautiful colour echoes. You can work in the medium of your choice. www.talbot-greaves.com

Paul will demonstrate many techniques and provide tutoring support during the workshop.

Members, please book a place for the workshop. Places are limited to a maximum of 15 and will be allocated on a first come basis. The cost for members is £10.

Saturday 16th December: Barbara Renton-Wood – Mixed media landscapes demonstration

Kirkby Church Hall: 1pm – 4pm

Barbara Renton-Wood is an experienced local artist and a member of Leven Art Society. Barbara uses textures, mixed media and watercolours to create energising vibrant industrial scenes and local landscapes.

Barbara will be demonstrating her approach to mixed media landscapes creating a painting inspired by a local scene.
